Where are your products manufactured?

We produce the majority of our stickers in Berlin, and we have partners in southern Germany for the textile stickers. The raw material comes from Brandenburg. This means that our value chain is largely regional.

For our textiles and accessories we work with production partners in Germany, Poland and Turkey.

When it comes to products from other brands, we make sure that the company's overall philosophy is consistent and fits with our values. However, we naturally only have limited insight into the origin of their products.

What are you doing in terms of sustainability?

The production of reflective raw materials is certainly impossible without causing environmental damage. Everything that comes after that and is in our own hands is something we can influence and we do that as best we can.

How do you create your designs?

Our designs are a central part of the REFLECTIVE Berlin DNA. They make us a unique original in the world of stylish reflective accessories that combine safety and lifestyle.

Each individual design is the work of our chief designer and co-founder Antoine. His design language is inspired by mathematical relationships in our natural environment and the fascination with cosmic boundlessness.

Which surfaces are the stickers suitable for?

All stickers are suitable for solid and smooth surfaces: bicycle frames, helmets, mudguards, etc.

Surfaces made of EPP, as often used for transport crates and boxes on cargo bikes (e.g. Urban Arrow), are not so suitable.

For textiles we have a special type of stickers that are suitable for this purpose.

Do your stickers stick to the Urban Arrow box?

Unfortunately, EPP surfaces are not well suited for our reflective foils. The frame of the Urban Arrow can of course still be covered with adhesive.

Are the stickers weatherproof and can they withstand rain?

Yes, of course! The films are designed for outdoor use and can withstand all weather conditions. Water and UV light do not harm the stickers.

How long do the stickers reflect?

The manufacturer of the films guarantees full reflection intensity for 7 years, but without mechanical impact on the surface the reflection will never diminish. A silicone coating increases the durability of the surface.

The textile stickers are not as robust, but they impress with even higher reflection values.

Do your textile stickers withstand the washing machine?

Yes, a few cycles in the washing machine are usually not a problem. When asked "How often?" the answer is, as is so often the case, "It depends!" This depends on the condition of the surface, the stress of the wash cycle (temperature, spin cycle, etc.) and the frequency.

However, the textile stickers should not be used on clothing items that are frequently washed in the washing machine.

Do different colors reflect differently? And how does black reflect?

The rule of thumb is: the brighter the color, the stronger the reflection.

However, the black films achieve comparatively high retroreflective values ​​(higher than other darker colors) because they are already colored during production, whereas the colorful colors are usually applied later.

Are your stickers approved according to STVZO?

No. You need all required and permitted reflectors. Our stickers are just for additional visibility.

We cannot give a clear answer to the question of whether it is even permitted to attach additional reflectors. Paragraph §67 of the STVZO is not clear on this. In practice, however, we are not aware of a single case in which additional reflectors on the bike have been sanctioned. On the contrary, efforts to make people visible in traffic by means of additional passive lighting are generally viewed favorably.

What do I have to pay attention to when applying stickers?

The surfaces to be stuck on must be clean, free of grease and dry. Handling and adhesive properties of the stickers are impaired in cold temperatures.

If you are unsure: All products come with instructions that must be followed.

Can I remove the stickers without leaving any residue?

Yes. However, the stickers stick very strongly due to their weather resistance. Therefore, you need a little patience when removing them, especially if the stickers have been stuck on for a long time. They do not damage the paint and adhesive residue can be removed easily.

Why don't I see the reflection?

The strength of the reflection depends on other factors besides the product itself, in particular the distance to the object and the distance of the eyes to the light source.

Are you even allowed to put stickers on helmets?

Most manufacturers advise against adding additional stickers to their helmets for liability reasons. We would never undermine these warnings.

However, a leading manufacturer of helmets and safety accessories from Germany has classified our stickers as harmless. The proportion of solvents is so marginal that it does not negatively affect the surface structure.

How often and when do you ship?

We usually ship on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

How long does shipping take?

We send either as a letter, goods mail (Deutsch Post) or parcel (DHL), depending on the size of the product. Delivery times usually vary between 1-4 days from the shipping confirmation.

Can I track my shipment?

If we send as a parcel, we will of course provide tracking. However, we send most shipments as letters so that the products arrive in your mailbox quickly, cheaply and easily. However, we only have superficial shipment tracking available here, which is often not particularly informative.

What should I do if my goods do not arrive?

For reasons unknown to us and beyond our control, letters sometimes end up floating around in postal nirvana for days. In 99% of cases, the shipments arrive late. If you have not received any mail 10 days after the shipping confirmation, please contact us so that we can investigate and arrange a replacement delivery if necessary.

How do I return items?

You can simply send the items back to us at our business address if you don't like them or if you've changed your mind. Include a delivery note or order number so that we can identify the delivery! We will only cover the shipping costs for the return if we have made a mistake (e.g. defective or incorrect item). Please contact us for a return label!

Can I pick up my order from you?

Yes, you can. Select "Pickup" as your shipping method at checkout and you can come to our store after we notify you.

Do you offer stickers as a service?

We do not offer a complete foiling service. However, as part of sticker workshops, our head designer Antoine will be happy to help you get started on your own sticker project and will also lend a hand so that you can finish it with confidence.

The workshops are always on Fridays and only require prior registration.

Can I have you create my own stickers?

Yes, we are happy to make individual stickers. Just write to us and tell us what you have in mind. It is best to attach a file as well.
